HISTORY OF THE RAPIER
Agave espadín or also called agave angustifolia which owes its name to the Latin word Angustique which means narrow, because its leaves are long and narrow in the shape of a sword.
Agave is a plant that is cultivated at average altitudes of 400 to 800 meters above sea level (meters above sea level), although it is also cultivated up to 1500 meters above sea level. It is a plant of the amaryllidaceae family which requires a simian climate with average temperatures of 22 ºC, The best way to reproduce the plant is by transplanting the offspring that sprout from the root of the plant when they reach a height of 50 cm. The average age at which an agave reproduces is between 3 or 4 years, the agave espadín reaches maturity between 7 and 9 years.
